What is the MIDA Project Area?

The Military Installation Development Authority, MIDA, has created a new Project Area in Wasatch County to the West of the Jordanelle, overlaying the Jordanelle Specially Planned Area (JSPA). This Project Area has an East Side and a West Side, divided by US Highway 40.

On the East Side, MIDA has been providing the resources to construct the Jordanelle Parkway, which will connect Utah State Route 248 on one end and US Highway 40 on the other.

MIDA has also assumed Land Use Authority from Wasatch County for the West Side of the Project Area, for the sake of expediting development of the Mayflower Mountain Village and the expansion of Deer Valley Resort.

Military Hotel and Recreational Facility

In the Mayflower Mountain Village, MIDA will have its very own military morale, recreation, and welfare hotel. This 450-room four-star hotel will be built on six acres, and will have a block of rooms set aside at discounted rates for Active Duty Military and Veterans.
