Jordanelle Specially Planned Area
The Jordanelle Specially Planned Area (JSPA) was created over 15 years ago for the specific purpose of developing a four-season world class destination resort area. The JSPA is the primary gateway to Wasatch County from Park City and Salt Lake City. It is surrounded by Deer Valley Resort, the new Mayflower Mountain Resort, and the Jordanelle State Park, providing convenient access to world-class skiing and a variety of water activities and outdoor recreation. The JSPA consists of approximately 4,268 acres located in Wasatch County next to the Summit County border and is approved for mixed uses such as single-family homes, condominiums, hotels, time-shares, retail shops, recreational facilities and other support amenities consistent with a resort area. The JSPA planned trail development includes a comprehensive hiking, biking and equestrian trail system that would connect Deer Valley, Park City, Jordanelle State Park and Wasatch Mountain State Park to existing regional trails. Summer and winter activities make the JSPA an ideal year-round destination.
